Mother’s Day isn’t picture perfect for everyone. For some of us, it’s messy, painful, and full of invisible weight. I’m a single mom, a widow, and raising a child with developmental disabilities while juggling anxiety, depression, and autism. This is a love letter to the moms doing it all and still feeling unseen. You’re not alone. You are the reason this post exists.

Grief doesn’t always come in tears or words. For children with Down syndrome and autism, it can show up later ... quietly, and often in ways we don’t expect.
